In-person/Virtual Regular Board of Education Meeting

November 18, 2021 – 4:30 p.m. Closed Session;

6:00 p.m. Public Session.



The Board meeting will be held via Zoom. The agenda for this meeting, once posted, can be viewed here. The meeting is live-streaming for the public to view online at Visit the District website at for the YouTube link prior to the start of the meeting.

PROOF OF VACCINATION ALERT: In conformance with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) guidance dated November 9, 2021, Hacienda La Puente Unified School District will require proof of vaccination before you enter the District Office for all meetings. This is applicable for the Board Meetings, as well. Attendees not fully vaccinated will be able to alternatively attend the Board Meeting through Zoom. Please see the District website for details. Should you wish to provide public comment related to a specific board agenda item, non-agenda item, or public hearing item, as a courtesy to the public, please complete the google form provided below. You may also attend the meeting in-person to provide comment. Pursuant to Board Bylaw 9323, public comment on any one agenda or non-agenda item is limited to three minutes per speaker, for a total of 15 minutes per topic. Those addressing the Board should join the meeting using the following Zoom link to register and be ready to speak when called upon:

You must also register for the meeting using the following Zoom link: Only comments from those utilizing the google form provided above and submitted on November 18, 2021, between 11:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. will be accepted, as well as requests submitted in-person at the meeting. Anyone who would like to yield their time to another speaker, must complete the form and be present in the Zoom meeting. Board President will call on you to verify that you will yield your time.

The Board of Education continues to hold meetings to conduct essential business during the COVID-19 pandemic

in-person and via teleconference. Assembly Bill 361 allows a local agency to continue to use

teleconferencing without complying with the Brown Act provisions in certain circumstances.

Board Goals

To ensure every student’s success, the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District Board of Education goals are:

Goal 1:  All students in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District will succeed in meeting high standards and achieving at high academic levels.

Goal 2: The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District will provide a supportive and innovative learning environment rich in the visual and performing arts and a challenging course of study to meet the unique needs of every student.

Goal 3:  The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District will attract and retain quality personnel who demonstrate strong, positive leadership that promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork and creates an environment in which all stakeholders feel respected, valued and are dedicated to every student’s success.

Goal 4:  The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District will efficiently expend and effectively maximize all resources to fulfill educational priorities, while sustaining and maintaining long-term financial stability.

Goal 5: The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District will provide its students and employees with safe, orderly and clean schools and district sites.

Goal 6: The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District will continue to develop, sustain, recognize, and promote programs of excellence and strong partnerships with parents and the community which result in high levels of success for all students.
