Transitional Kindergarten InformationPlease contact: 626-933-4363 Transitional Kindergarten is a bridge between preschool and kindergarten and provides young learners with an opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that is tailored to meet their unique academic and social needs. In the 2022-2023 school year, HLPUSD is offering the Transitional Kindergarten program to students whose fifth birthdate occurs between September 2, 2022 and February 2, 2023. In the 2023-2024 school year, TK is offered to students who turn five years old between September 2, 2023 through April 2, 2024. |

Meal ApplicationsHLPUSD serves breakfast and lunch to all students for free school year 2022-2023 under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Families will NOT need to complete meal applications for 2022-2023. Nutrition Services, 15959 East Gale Ave. Bldg, C, City of Industry. |
OPEN ENROLLMENT
All HLPUSD students generally attend the school where their residency has been established. HLPUSD residents also have the opportunity to submit a School of Choice application during Open Enrollment. HLPUSD Families that apply for Open Enrollment this year, will be placed in the applicant pool for their school of choice for the 2023-2024 school year.
All Open Enrollment applications will be done electronically.

Inter District Transfers for incoming students are processed year-round: Obtain approved release form from your home district and take the permit to the school you’d like your child to attend. All transfers will need to be approved by the requested school’s Principal.
